It’s hard to believe – Christmas 2021 is officially in the books! What a fun celebration this was: seeing so many beloved friends of both the two-legged and four-legged variety, giving and receiving all kinds of special gifts, and enjoying all the spoils of the holiday season! The last few days of a wild year are upon us. What will 2022 hold? I, myself, am looking forward to great and exciting new things!
To kick off the new year, I’ve decided to update the Bath to Bows LLC logo. You readers have already seen the changes implemented on the website header. Now it is coming to all the shop decor as well, not to mention new appointment cards! Not only will this help promote my digital domain, but it also reflects my original idea for the company logo. You see, I’ve been searching for that fun font for nearly a decade, even before the thought of opening a business was even a twinkle in my eye! In early September, I found the elusive prize and immediately started planning the overhaul… and it was fun!!
The end of 2021 saw the opening of some travel. While I considered Groom Expo a complete mess, the Pittsburgh Pet Expo had the advantages of being smaller and more local. My focus will primarily be on these smaller shows this year! Also, rumor has it that the online competitions are coming back… I just might ask to use your dog! But don’t feel bad if you’re not selected, as the judges are looking for very specific points!
New education opportunities are coming for me this year!! I’m sure all my clients are tired of hearing about it! I’ve been waiting patiently (or maybe not so much, hehehe) for my alma mater, the Nash Academy, to introduce their advanced online series, and they’re here. Boy are they here! New handling techniques and TWO new coat types are just some of the things I’ll be looking forward to in these series! That brings the standard up to 20 unique types! I’m always looking for ways to improve my tool usage, and now I get to learn them AND go back to my roots!!
I’m continuing my quest to obtain DermaTech through ISCC as well. This third test continues to throw my memory into turmoil… although some of the chemical classifications are beginning to stick! It’s a very large stepping stone to conquer along the way.
Wow, what a whirlwind. And we’ve just barely got our pinky toe in the door. Here’s to new and exciting adventures in 2022 – cheers!!
