Got a question? I’ve got answers!
Don’t see an answer you need? Don’t hesitate to ask!
Q: How can I schedule an appointment for my dog?
A: Unfortunately, all available appointment slots are full and I am not taking new clients at the moment! I am more than happy to refer you to one of my friends!
Q: When will you be taking new clients?
A: Now that’s a tricky one! While spots may occasionally become available, there aren’t any guaranteed specifics. That being said, I am more than happy to refer you to one of my friends!
Q: How do I choose a groomer?
A: There are a few important things to consider when choosing a groomer for your precious pup. How much experience does the groomer have? Are they active within the industry? Do they have any certifications with any major groomer organizations? What are their safety protocols? These are a few of the questions to ask your potential groomer.
Q: Can I stay and watch while you groom my dog?
A: Unless the dog has severe anxiety or a significant medical condition, I do not recommend staying while your dog is groomed. Dogs tend to be more excited when their owners are present, which makes for a more dangerous environment; sharp objects and moving targets are a bad mix!
Q: Why do I need to leave my dog at the salon for several hours?
A: Bath to Bows LLC is different. The day is broken into two shifts to allow each dog a little relaxation time. Because grooming is an invasive process, I’ve found that dogs do better when they are allowed a little time to decompress.
Q: Will you trim my dog’s nails?
A: Yes, nails are an essential part of grooming, or can be done a la carte.
Q: Does my dog need to be cut short?
A: That depends upon the condition of the coat. In the cases of matting, a shorter trim is ideal to spare the dog from hours of potentially painful de-matting.
Q: Can you help me care for my dog’s coat in between grooming sessions?
A: You betcha! It’s an important part of a groomer’s job! Any questions you have related to your dog’s coat type, I am more than happy to answer!
Q: How many coat types are there?
A: Twenty! And yes, I will help you determine which type your dog has!
